Antonio
M., Ph.D., has been a clinical psychologist for thirty-five years.
He is on the adjunct faculty of the University of San Francisco and
has done research and published in the areas of hypnosis, EMDR, and
pediatric asthma and bonding. He is a former member of California's
Board of Psychology and is currently the director of Russian River
Counselors in Monte Rio, CA. Additionally, he is the recipient of
the 2005 Frances Hilgard Award for Excellence in Scientific Writing
for his article, "Helping Children with Asthma by Repairing
Maternal-infant Bonding Problems."
Michael
is the pen name for the author, a retired government official who
served more than twenty-seven years in the U. S. Department of
Justice and an additional dozen years in the diplomatic service
overseas, with tours in Germany, Thailand, and Russia. He has a
Ph.D. degree in Germanic Linguistics and is married with three grown
children.
Daniel
has been an award-winning advertising copywriter for twenty-seven
years, creating a broad range of copy/concepts for more than 200
national and regional clients. He has also written two novels,
several children’s books and poetry while licensing
concepts for calendars and greeting cards.
Dennis
is a physician with thirty-eight years of experience, with
thirty-one of them in psychiatry. He served five years as USAF
Flight Surgeon with duty in Vietnam, Thailand, and the U.S.
Additionally, he worked as Chief of Staff and Medical
Director of a psychiatric hospital and as an instructor at the
University Medical Center.
Dorris.
is a teacher, musician, business owner and has been an unofficial
nurse in a bush hospital at the side of her doctor/husband in West
Africa where she lived for seven years and where two of her four
children were born. She started writing stories there for her
children to read. Dorris now resides in Idaho where she runs a bed
and breakfast and writes.
Ronald,
a native of Manitoba, Canada, served with the USMC in Vietnam as a
Scout-Sniper. Ron saw considerable combat and was decorated and
wounded more than once. He learned to write from designing and
building golf courses, race cars, houses and ranches and is a
competent pilot, heavy equipment operator and race car driver.
Augustin,
As a TV program producer and on air personality, he serves kids
through "Kidzcamp Adventures" and adults through "Fit
by the Minute" and "Fit for the Soul." He is also the
President of "Benefitness for Life" and owner of
4Lifers.com.
Hal
taught English at CCNY after graduate school. He had a first novel
selected as a finalist in a new authors' contest, but most writing
and teaching aspirations were put on hold when he was recruited into
the U.S. Foreign Service. Among other assignments, Hal served as a
Peace Corps Country Director, U.S. AID Mission Director and a Deputy
Assistant Secretary of State. He was also seconded to the Executive
Director's Office of UNICEF, by far his most rewarding career
experience.
Netta
has held many positions throughout her successful career including
working as Executive Director of Resonance eStore, Production
Secretary of "The African Elephant" and assistant to Joy
Adamson, Executive Secretary of MCA Artists, Ltd. Additionally, she
has written articles for magazines and had a book, A Soul's
Safari, published in India.
Rose
earned Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Social Work. She has spent
over twenty years in and out of social work trenches including, but
not limited to all phases of child welfare, including legal and
federal staff training statewide. Additionally, she taught college
level Social Work as well as fiction writing. Rose has also written
a number of novels, several of which were ultimately published. In
addition to professional writing, she has written about 600 columns,
articles and Ezines throughout the past ten years.
Eugene
was invested into the Knights of Peter Claver after studying for the
Catholic priesthood. After joining the U.S. Air Force, he returned
to his academic pursuits, graduating magna cum laude from the
University of California after spending a year studying at the
University of Lund in Sweden researching the Swedish Ombudsman. When
Eugene became a National Foundation Fellow, he completed his
academic education at UC Berkeley where he received his Ph.D. in
Political Theory. Dr. S worked for the California State Legislature
and the University of California's Institute of Race & Community
Relations before going into the corporate world where he worked for
Pacific Bell for almost 18 years. At the same time, he has been an
adjunct faculty member at USF, St. Mary's College, San Francisco
State University and Merritt College.
William
received a B.S. degree in Mathematics and Chemistry from
Juniata College and an M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. He
began his own teaching career in the Saxton Liberty public schools,
followed by two years as an assistant instructor at U of P, two
years as an instructor at the Altoona undergraduate center of Penn
State, and then a year in the Camden public schools before finding
his final place in the academic world at the Philadelphia Textile
Institute.
Rachael
is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and child therapist who earned
her Ph.D. from the University of South Florida where she also
teaches. She has several years of experience providing therapy to
traumatized children and their families, managing counseling
programs, developing educational curriculum and teaching abuse
prevention in schools.
